An accessory for tap water sources with higher than normal turbidity to capture large particles and prevent clogging of the fine filter layer by sediment, which could slow or stop water flow, even if the filter's lifespan has not yet expired (the e3 carbon filter set already includes a coarse filter for the first layer of filtration).
